On Friday 22nd October Callystown NS was a very scary place as all the children were transformed into scary monsters, zombies, witches, ghosts and ghouls. There was a huge effort made by all the children with their costumes and it was great fun trying to guess who was hiding under each disguise.
Mr Fortune’s class performed the Thriller dance to a captive audience.
Ms Booth’s class sang ‘Spooky scary skeletons’
Ms Woods class sang ‘This is Halloween’
And last but not least Ms Claytons class sang ‘The witches’
The Halloween assembly was packed full of safety tips for Halloween regarding staying safe at bonfires and around fireworks. We recapped on our high visibility – ‘Be safe, Be seen’ message and also reminded children to be a seatbelt sheriff when they are travelling in cars.
We had our draw for our Halloween hampers and the lucky winners were Cara brogan, Josh Hobbs and Ryan Kirwan.
All in all it was a super day for everyone.
