An Amazing 9581 Climate Actions Undertaken by Callystown Pupils

In November we looked at the United Nations Act Now Campaign where people are pledging to do some “actions” every day for Climate Change. The Committee introduced the campaign at Assembly. Over 3 weeks we pledged to do 1 or more “actions” at home or in school each day e.g. turning off the lights, eating more local produce, reusing plastic etc. Class teachers counted up the actions each day and the totals were collected and counted at the end of the 3 weeks.  At the December Assembly members of the committee revealed the number of actions and we were delighted to discover we had made 9581 small changes in total. And we pledge to continue this good work!
