This week we celebrated Catholic School’s Week. The theme this year was ‘Living in Harmony with God’s Creation’
This year’s theme asked us to think about how we live our lives.
We are all part of God’s creation. How we treat others, the world around us and how we look after ourselves, these are the ways we can live in harmony with God’s creation.
Each day the classes had a ‘Thought for the day’;
Monday: Living in Harmony with God
Tuesday: Living in Harmony with our Neighbours
Wednesday: Living in Harmony with All Generations
Thursday: Living in Harmony with the Earth
Friday: Living in Harmony in our Catholic School
On Thursday we had our Catholic schools assembly.
Ms Brodigan’s class sang ‘A song to Brigid’ during the opening hymn Mikie carried a lighted candle forward and placed it in the prayer space.
Fr Mc Veigh gave the school a blessing.
PJ and Lulu read the intercessional prayers.
Ms Dawe’s class thanked god for the gifts they have and also sang us a song celebrating those gifts.
Daniel, our green school prefect told us a little bit about how our green school committee are helping ensure we all care for the environment and live in harmony with God’s creation.
Mr Fortune’s class told us about the work they have been doing for Catholic schools this week.
Ms Lally’s class read the Prayers of Intercession.
