Active Schools Week – December 2024: A Fun-Filled Adventure to the North Pole!
This December, we had an exciting and active week as part of our Active Schools Week! The children took part in a thrilling challenge where they “ran” to the North Pole, completing laps around the school to reach the 5000 km run to cover the distance from Clogherhead to the North Pole. Each lap brought them closer to their goal, and the energy and enthusiasm were contagious! It was a week full of fun, fitness, and community spirit.
On the final day, to celebrate their hard work and determination, each child enjoyed a well-deserved hot chocolate as a treat.
A huge thank you to Mr. Crosbie for organising the event and bringing the music box outside, creating the perfect atmosphere for dance breaks and adding even more fun to the week. The children loved every moment, and the music definitely kept everyone energised!
We’re so proud of all the students for their effort and teamwork during this special week. It was a fantastic way to encourage physical activity, have fun, and celebrate the season in a healthy way. Thank you to all the parents for their support in making this a memorable event!
