Miss O’Donoghue’s 5th class went on a historical tour of drogheda on the 22nd of november. They visited Millmount museum where they learned the history of the fortress and saw many artifacts and historical and artistic objects before taking in the view of Drogheda from Millmount fort. Next they went to the town centre and visited St Peter’s Church where they saw St Oliver Plunkett’s head. Finally they met Gerry Murphy the weather forecaster for RTE who taught them all about his job. On the way home they had a sneaky stop at Mc Donalds . What an educational and fun day out!
