Our Trocaire Campaign during Lent 2019 allowed us to learn about the stories of children who were affected by Land issues in different parts of the world. The Green School Committee completed projects on 4 children, Maya, Maria, Roni and Patricia and reported back to our classes. We completed many lessons from the Trocaire lesson packs, based on the stories of these children.

We started collecting money each Friday during Lent with a class target of €50 each. However each class exceeded their target and we raised a staggering €1275.

As a reward for this good work we heard a school picnic outside. With class out on the grass together there was a real feeling of if we work together we could achieve an awful lot!

Fr. Martin was invited to the picnic and the funds raised for Trocaire were presented to him by the Green School Prefect, Caelan.
